LETTER FROM THE SECRETARY GENERAL
Dear Delegates,

It is with immense honour and joy that I welcome you to J.B. MUN 2025. This year marks the 9th edition of our prestigious conference, and after months of preparation, it feels almost unreal to finally be here. On behalf of the entire secretariat, I can confidently say that being part of this journey has been nothing short of extraordinary.
Looking back, MUN has been the highlight of my school years. I still vividly remember my very first conference, sitting in the J.B. hall, overwhelmed yet excited, not knowing that this experience would one day lead me here. From those first nervous speeches, to the unforgettable moments of table-banging applause, to the bittersweet satisfaction of closing ceremonies, MUN has been a journey of growth, resilience, and discovery. MUN has taught me to be more confident, to prioritise assertion over aggression, to work together with other individuals to come to a unanimous solution.
I know many of you may feel anxious or underprepared, but that very feeling is what pushes you to grow. And along the way, you’ll collect experiences that no study guide can ever teach you: the thrill of speaking without notes, the joy of collaboration, the pride of your first award, and the memories of friendships that last far beyond the conference.
My only advice? Don’t be afraid to throw yourself into it. Speak even when you think you’ll mess up, argue even if you’re not sure you’ll win, and most importantly, enjoy it. Trust me, the best parts of MUN aren’t always the awards, they’re the people you meet and the moments that catch you off guard.

MUN is a platform where young adults like us can voice our opinions on global issues and our opinions can be heard, because at the end of the day the future lies in our hands.
I wish you the very best of luck, and I am certain that through your hard work, determination, and commitment to excellence, you will make this conference both memorable and rewarding. I hope we are able to make this conference as enticing and memorable for y’all as y’all will make it for us.
Warm regards,
Delishaa Saudagar,
Secretary General

Dear Delegates,
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to JB MUN 2025. Over the years, MUNs have shaped me into a more confident and resilient individual, and I am certain they will do the same for you. Every speech you deliver, every resolution you draft, and every compromise you reach brings you closer to learning more about yourself not only as a delegate, but as an individual. When you step into committee sessions, you are not only debating world issues, you are learning to see the world through a diverse lense, to question, to create, and to lead. Through this process, you will sharpen your debating and negotiation skills, learn the art of compromise, and gain invaluable experience in drafting and policy making. Beyond academic enrichment, MUNs foster confidence, teamwork, and leadership qualities that will serve you well in every stage of life. I hope JB MUN 2025 gives you the chance to discover new perspectives, grow your confidence, and create some great memories along the way. I wish you all the best of luck!

Best regards,
Saneeka Shah,
